So, I embarked on a journey to Sydney, Australia, dreaming of a chill surf life. Yet, as much as I loved the vibe, the 21-hour journey home to family felt a tad too far. In 2012, I made the bold move to vibrant Austin, Texas, drawn by its irresistible energy.
