I don’t have a shopping addiction like Rebecca Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, but I do love shopping for jewelry—I’ve been an accessories girl my whole life. When I do shop, I prefer to hit up brick-and-mortar stores vs. click-clacking away on my computer. There’s something exciting about feeling the fabric, trying on things you wouldn’t normally pick, and stumbling upon a piece of jewelry that feels like it was made for you. Here are my go-to Austin spots for clothes and jewelry:
Turquoise Trading Post
If you're channeling your inner Chic Desert Aunt (thanks, Alison Bornstein, for the aesthetic), Turquoise Trading Post is where you need to be. This place is all about turquoise rings and sterling silver pieces. Founded in 1978, it's been the hotspot for the finest Native American jewelry for decades. Authentic, handcrafted, and totally unique—that’s what you’ll find here. Get ready to load those fingers up with some more rings baby, it’s Desert Aunt Era.
Eliza Page
Eliza Page is where I bought my first fine jewelry piece, my beloved Rosedale ring, which I still wear almost every day. Eliza Page supports local and Texas-based jewelers and are all about ethical sourcing and recycled materials. Their in-house brand is both modern and timeless, and their custom options are perfect for those “I want something no one else has” moments.
If you want to know what I love, I have quite the ‘Wish List’ going! 😉
Good Company
Good Company is like shopping with that super stylish friend who always knows what's up. This women's boutique is packed with unique clothing, jewelry, vintage pieces, and home goods. My barrel jean obsession started here (#burrymeinbarreljeans), and for that, I thank you, Good Company.
Moss Consignment
For designer items without the designer price, luxury reseller Moss Consignment is a game-changer. I’ve found fantastic jeans and staple pieces that have become wardrobe essentials. Plus, their Instagram stories are a fun way to discover their latest arrivals. If you love a label (and a deal), you need to check this place out.
Estilo Boutique
If I’m ever in a bind and need an outfit for practically any event, I’m on my way to Estilo Boutique. They offer a curated selection of everything from versatile basics to standout pieces. Whether you’re hunting for a casual boat day outfit or a glam gown for a gala, this place has got you covered. You’ll find something perfect for any occasion and at a variety of price points.
Wood & Rose
Need more color in your wardrobe? Wood & Rose is your spot. Their mix of brands and styles can be quite different than your typical Austin aesthetic. Even though I'm usually a 'dress for a funeral' vibe, I found my favorite sneakers here—a pair of white Philippe Model kicks with a pop of lime green. They're my go-to when I need some color.
Shopping at these stores not only updates my wardrobe but also connects me with Austin's vibrant community. Whether you’re hunting for a statement piece or just want to browse and get inspired, these spots are a must-visit. Happy shopping, Austin!
